If the message is not accurate or a person using BibleX find that the message (not delivery) is correct according to the Biblical narrative can then see if future sermons have a certain angle to them that is more tied to the liturgy of the church, or the Preacher is not following the liturgy of the church will have the tools to either challenge / ask questions in regards to this or discern what to do next. The reason we point this out that it must be understood that any valid Christian church denomination have a hierarchical structure. To simplify, if we consider Reformed denominations, it would go something like this. First there is the General/National Synod which plainly put is where the aim is for people that part of the Synod to come to a consensus in terms of what should or should not be part of the Church Doctrine.
Consider for example the matter of same sex marriage and whether it should be allowed or not usually based on scripture.
The problem is there is no supporting scripture to allow as much. In fact, the Word of God / Scripture clearly states not only that it is wrong but a sin and thus may use verses such as John 3:16 “"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”. However, verses such as this within context have nothing to do with the aforementioned. The fact is that even sex (between a man and woman) outside of marriage is a sinful act and in saying that Marriage is a sacred institution God created. Scripture addresses how sinful this is exhaustively and with clarity and certainty. Now the main argument many have in support of same-sex marriage is because Jesus never mentioned anything about it. Problem is Jesus did not mention the matter abortion to give an example why this not a valid argument. Now Jesus did reiterate in Matthew 19:5–6 "[5] and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? [6] So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
Which means Jesus not only understood but upheld the same sentiment of marriage seen in Genesis 2, that is to say that marriage is to be between a man and a woman. Furthermore, in Romans 1:18-31 we are given a clear and decisive view concerning God’s wrath against sinful humanity.
a) Doxology - the apostle (Paul) instinctively relieves the horror which the penning of such things excited within his breast; an example to such as are called to expose
b) From Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary (this commentary is long but if you read the entire commentary you will realize why it the case) On this section, Note (1) "The wrath of God" against sin has all the dread reality of a "revelation from heaven" sounding in the consciences of men, in the self-inflicted miseries of the wicked, and in the vengeance which God's moral government, sooner or later, takes upon all who outrage it; so this "wrath of God" is not confined to high-handed crimes, or the grosser manifestations of human depravity, but is "revealed" against all violations of divine law of whatever nature—"against all ungodliness" as well as "unrighteousness of men," against all disregard of God in the conduct of life as well as against all deviations from moral rectitude; and therefore, since no child of Adam can plead guiltless either of "ungodliness" or of "unrighteousness," to a greater or less extent, it follows that every human being is involved in the awful sweep of "the wrath of God" (Ro 1:18). The apostle places this terrible truth in the forefront of his argument on justification by faith, that upon the basis of universal condemnation he might rear the edifice of a free, world-wide salvation; nor can the Gospel be scripturally preached or embraced, save as the good news of salvation to those that are all equally "lost." (2) We must not magnify the supernatural revelation which God has been pleased to make of Himself, through Abraham's family to the human race, at the expense of that older, and, in itself, lustrous revelation which He has made to the whole family of man through the medium of their own nature and the creation around them. Without the latter, the former would have been impossible, and those who have not been favored with the former will be without excuse, if they are deaf to the voice and blind to the glory of the latter (Ro 1:19, 20). (3) Wilful resistance of light has a retributive tendency to blunt the moral perceptions and weaken the capacity to apprehend and approve of truth and goodness; and thus is the soul prepared to surrender itself, to an indefinite extent, to error and sin (Ro 1:21, &c.). (4) Pride of wisdom, as it is a convincing evidence of the want of it, so it makes the attainment of it impossible (Ro 1:22; and compare Mt 11:25; 1Co 3:18-20). (5) As idolatry, even in its most plausible forms, is the fruit of unworthy views of the Godhead, so its natural effect is to vitiate and debase still further the religious conceptions; nor is there any depth of degradation too low and too revolting for men's ideas of the Godhead to sink to, if only their natural temperament and the circumstances they are placed in be favorable to their unrestrained development (Ro 1:23, 25). The apostle had Greece and Egypt in his eye when he penned this description. But all the paganisms of the East at this day attest its accuracy, from the more elaborate idolatry of India and the simpler and more stupid idolatry of China down to the childish rudiments of nature worship prevalent among the savage tribes. Alas! Christendom itself furnishes a melancholy illustration of this truth; the constant use of material images in the Church of Rome and the materialistic and sensuous character of its entire service (to say nothing of the less offensive but more stupid service of the Greek Church,) debasing the religious ideas of millions of nominal Christians, and lowering the whole character and tone of Christianity as represented within their immense pale. (6) Moral corruption invariably follows religious debasement. The grossness of pagan idolatry is only equalled by the revolting character and frightful extent of the immoralities which it fostered and consecrated (Ro 1:24, 26, 27). And so strikingly is this to be seen in all its essential features in the East at this day, that (as Hodge says) the missionaries have frequently been accused by the natives of having forged the whole of the latter part of this chapter, as they could not believe that so accurate a description of themselves could have been written eighteen centuries ago. The kingdoms of Israel and Judah furnish a striking illustration of the inseparable connection between religion and morals. Israel corrupted and debased the worship of Jehovah, and the sins with which they were charged were mostly of the grosser kind—intemperance and sensuality: the people of Judah, remaining faithful to the pure worship, were for a long time charged mostly with formality and hypocrisy; and only as they fell into the idolatries of the heathen around them, did they sink into their vices. And may not a like distinction be observed between the two great divisions of Christendom, the Popish and the Protestant? To test this, we must not look to Popery, surrounded with, and more or less influenced by, the presence and power of Protestantism; nor to Protestantism under every sort of disadvantage, internal and external. But look at Romanism where it has unrestrained liberty to develop its true character, and see whether impurity does not there taint society to its core, pervading alike the highest and the lowest classes; and then look at Protestantism where it enjoys the same advantages, and see whether it be not marked by a comparatively high standard of social virtue. (7) To take pleasure in what is sinful and vicious for its own sake, and knowing it to be such, is the last and lowest stage of human recklessness (Ro 1:32). But (8) this knowledge can never be wholly extinguished in the breast of men. So long as reason remains to them, there is still a small voice in the worst of men, protesting, in the name of the Power that implanted it, "that they which do such things are worthy of death" (Ro 1:32).
It is pretty clear just how against sexual immorality God is. because as the commentary points out this stems from ancient rome. Many say that Rome was conquered in some military battle but the truth is they destroyed themselves from the inside out by indulging in paganism and by extention sexual immorality and we can see the unfolding in front of us. Looking at the scripture as to why explicity did not destroy them but allowed this is because a case can be made that God knew this would happen. See, the commandments of God is perfect and attempts to ignore or churches allowing this will suffer the same fate for God does not change His mind. It goes without saying that even in Timothy 3 while speaking on this matter how Church Leaders should consider these matters, not only in terms of sexual immorality but matters in general concerning the commandments of God. It is not the only mention but the point here is to state that God simply does not endorse this AT ALL. The opposite is in fact valid and clear, no matter how you try if you remain true to the Word of God there is no basis that sufficiently provides prima facie evidence that same-sex marriage is condoned by God.
Now as we said in our mission statement, BibleX is a product for those who are interested in Christian Apologetics (“apologia” transliterated from Ancient Greek: ἀπολογία "verbal defence, speech in defence" / “a reasoned statement or argument”). Other than to say BibleX can indirectly serve as a useful tool to use in combination with other tools or subject material that deals with “legalism”.
So, one can say the above is in defence of the Biblical narrative and if the reader elects to see it as such then fine, but it is not the point. The point is based on “legalism” and otherwise Christian Apologetics the Synod will make a decision whatsoever the topic is about. Once the decision is final then it becomes part of the Church Doctrine. The Doctrine then defines what a preachers should or should not do. This is not unique to the Protestant denominations but rather all liturgical denominations. The main difference is the hierarchical structure (which we did not address in full) but there is no need. See, that is the problem with denominations or to be more accurate can be the problem since there are denominations which may have their sacraments but still remain true to the Word of God. By nature, the problem is not that churches have such a structure. In fact, the church has a responsibility to make sure that Preachers follow the doctrine of the Church they serve and should follow their doctrine, liturgy or other legal principles.
If a Preacher does not abide their responsibilities, they should be held accountable. If a Preacher find that the Church Doctrine is in opposition of the Church then the Preacher, have to choose between the Word of God and their job. Since Preachers (just as all of humanity) will answer to God. So, as you can see, the Church is an institution. Yes, Scripture tells us that assembling and communion and fellowship and gathering together to hear, share the Word of God and to gather and worship together is not just of value but recommended in terms of what the Word of God says. As such we do not have a problem with Church denominations and gatherings. We just want to make it clear that discernment should be used when going to Church and making sure that the Church follow the Word of God and the teachings of Jesus Christ.
We live in times of extremes where many churches have adopted trends that are sinful and opposes the Word of God. This is extremely dangerous as one person when speaking to another may lead that person astray but a church that have fallen astray is capable of leading many people astray and that is something we do not and will not accept. Now as said considering the above verses, it is not that denominations are in and by itself a problem, but it can be and the Word of God is pretty clear on these matters.
Amen.
Now if are a person who have self-respect act accordingly they will appreciate what they have, and align with the values below.
Therefore, it is better to speak less not more, if you speak, take care that you do not share what is personal to you. It will be used against you.
You will be held accountable for the same reason even if you did nothing wrong. You have realize this.
If you have nothing, lost all you had and all you have is your character and the basics to survive, no matter how truthful of a person you are, no matter the qualifications you have you will not be seen as someone who knows anything, your expertise will no matter how correct you are will be words forgotten as soon as you mentioned them
Because you have nothing, even though you live a life that is clean, truthful and respectable you will be considered as someone not to be a friend with, you will be considered by those who live according to their ego as a criminal.
You will not be trust with simple things such as taking care of someone's child, home, etc. if that person seeks someone who can look after all this while they go on vacation. It is not easy. It can be painful, but the person who is currently blind to all this, when that person have lost what they had, they will no longer blind and they will realize all of this.
This calls for enduring much hatred, gossip, ill-speak. It requires you to be vigilant and aware. Take care that you are not overcome with loneliness, depression and thoughts of shame. I can only say if you are a Christian your faith will be tested. If you are not a Christian, surrend to Jesus and rather have a relationship with Jesus, it may not change your circumstances, but God knows the heart, our every thought and intent will not do as people do and accept you regardless of your past.On the matter of Christianity. Be sure that for the sake of Jesus you will be hated (Matthew 10:22 :You will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the person who endures to the end will be saved) 15:10-11 "Then calling out to the crowd, he addressed them, "Listen and understand! 11 It is not what goes into the mouth that makes a person unclean. It is what comes out of the mouth that makes a person unclean." Please understand that Jesus said in Matthew 24:11-13 "11 Many false prophets will appear and deceive many people, 12 and because lawlessness will increase, the love of many people will grow cold. 13 But the person who endures to the end will be saved."
Bottom-line: I know these things, because this what happened to me, I lost everything, I was not famous, but I had a house, vehicle, furnature, and once I lost my job (for reasons I that is not clear to me other then that I know it was the plan they had and have sufficient evidence), but it left a mark, in addition I lost my wife (who did not support me during those days but instead used that time to look for another place of which I had no knowledge of this, day in and day out I was hated) soon after she divorced me. I had all the evidence to sue my former employer but not money to do, when I had the means the statutes and limitation had me in a position where I could do nothing.
When you hit rock bottom, sometimes you hit rock bottom so hard that you find it has a basement. So I know what I speak of when I mention all of the above. I feel no shame to say that there was a time when this happened that I just wanted to die. I took the energy I had which was not much, had it not been for some family I would have been out on the street, regardless, I still had my skills in terms of software engineering, so I used whatever I could to start building software. Surrendering to Jesus was what I did, it is a choice I made that did not cost money. This gave me peace. I want to say today I am successful and have all I had and more but this is not the case.
Regardless, respect and self-respect is to be a servant, to be person of character, not a slave, but a servant. To be truthful, to speak out against evil and wickedness, combining that with being a Christian do as Jesus commanded us to do offers peace. So if anything you may still have nothing, but you will have peace.
